What is the 24-hour window?

Meta lets businesses send free-form replies within 24 hours of the customer's last message. On Messenger and Instagram, your team can reply for up to 7 days with the Human Agent permission. On WhatsApp, messaging after 24 hours needs approved templates, which PropDrop doesn't send, so the chat waits until the buyer writes again.

Do I need a developer?

Not necessarily. Each channel in Settings shows its setup steps: create a Business app, generate a system-user token, then paste the token, app secret and IDs. Someone comfortable with Meta Business settings can do it, or you can add the one-time Meta setup add-on. Website chat needs no setup at all.

Does Telegram need a Meta app too?

No. Telegram works with your own bot: create it in @BotFather, paste its token in Settings and PropDrop sets up the rest. There's no review and no 24-hour window.

Can I use my own gateway instead?

Yes. Under Advanced, you can add an outbound webhook, and PropDrop will send every AI and team reply to your URL so a custom gateway can deliver it.

The 24-hour window

Meta's channels have a reply window. Within 24 hours of the buyer's last message, the agent and your team reply freely. On Messenger and Instagram your team can still reply for up to 7 days with Meta's Human Agent permission once your app is approved for it. On WhatsApp, after 24 hours only approved templates are allowed and PropDrop doesn't send them, so the chat waits for the buyer. Telegram and website chat have no window.
